Orgalime's final position paper on EP first reading voting results
Orgalime's position on the EP's first reading voting results on the recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive is attached. This doc has been sent to the Czech Presidency and the Commission.
The Council (member states) Working Party on Energy next meets 2 June 2009, where detailed discussions on the articles of the COM proposal will continue (discussions planned in the Council Working Party meeting of 26 May were cancelled).
The Commission is expected to present a provisional version of their opinion on the EP first reading voting results at this meeting. It is an interim opinion; the interservice consultation is still ongoing, expected to be finalised by mid June, after which the official opinion will be made public.
