REACH- shortened guidance documentation
European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published on its website shortened versions of the following guidance documents:
· Guidance in a nutshell ‘requirements for substances in articles’: http://guidance.echa.europa.eu/docs/guidance_document/nutshell_guidance_articles2.pdf, designed to assist companies producing, importing and/or supplying articles in the European Union (EU), and clarifying the obligations companies have under REACH.
· Guidance in a nutshell ‘registration data and dossier handling’ : http://guidance.echa.europa.eu/docs/guidance_document/nutshell_guidance.pdf, which gives a simple and concise introduction to the information content of registration dossiers for chemical substances under REACH.

Finally, please be informed that Orgalime received the call for input from the consultancy RPA who is carrying out a study on behalf of the Commission on the assessment of the impacts from a potential ban on the use of cadmium in brazing alloys, also known as silver solders.
