REACH- shortened guidance documentation


European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published on its website shortened versions of the following guidance documents:

·         Guidance in a nutshell ‘requirements for substances in articles: http://guidance.echa.europa.eu/docs/guidance_document/nutshell_guidance_articles2.pdf, designed to assist companies producing, importing and/or supplying articles in the European Union (EU), and clarifying  the obligations companies have under REACH.

 

·         Guidance in a nutshell ‘registration data and dossier handling’ : http://guidance.echa.europa.eu/docs/guidance_document/nutshell_guidance.pdf, which gives a simple and concise introduction to the information content of registration dossiers for chemical substances under REACH.

ECHA has further published a guidance factsheet on the inclusion of substances in Annex XIV REACH: http://guidance.echa.europa.eu/docs/guidance_document/fact_sheets/factsheet_inclusion_annexXIV_en.pdf

Finally, please be informed that Orgalime received the call for input from the consultancy RPA who is carrying out a study on behalf of the Commission on the assessment of the impacts from a potential ban on the use of cadmium in brazing alloys, also known as silver solders.
